Graduation Information

Graduation for the Class of 2026 is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Check out the Graduation Set-Up Video for parking, ticket, and viewing information.  

  • Senior Finals will take place Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 28.  There is NO SPECIAL SCHEDULE.  Students will follow their regular schedule and simply take a final in some periods each day.   

    • May 27--Periods 1, 3, and 5 

    • May 28--Periods 0, 2, 4 and 6 

  • Seniors attending Grad Night need to be at school by 3:00 PM in the MPR on Friday, May 29.  They will be leaving at 4:00 PM and returning around 3:00 AM. 

  • Mandatory Graduation Practice will take place on Tuesday, June 2 at 8:00 AM.  Students must report to the gym and must be inside by 8:00 AM. 

  • Graduation Practice (Day 2) will take start in the gym at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3.  This is mandatory and students MUST be in the gym by 8:00 AM. 

  • Cap/Gown and Ticket Distribution will take place on Wednesday, June 3 following graduation Practice.   

  • In order to receive graduation tickets, students must have turned in all books, laptop, charger, and met all other obligations. 

  • Each student will receive 10 graduation tickets.  The tickets will either by Blue (visitor side) or Gold (home side) and should match the side of graduation where you student has selected to sit.  The colors will help families know which side their graduate will be sitting during the ceremony. 

    • Any human three years old or order will require a ticket. 

 

Graduation Specific Information 

  • Stadium Gates will open at 5:00 PM.

  • Graduates will need to report to the gym at 5:30 on June 4th for check-in.  The gym will open at 4:45 for check-in.  Gowns should be held and not worn so that we can complete our security check. 

  • Graduation Caps CANNOT be decorated in any way.  Students will not be allowed to wear their caps if they have any writing on them. 

  • Shoes:  absolutely no spiked heels.  Flats, wedges, and sneakers are going to be best.  The graduates have a lot of walking to do and spiked heals will void the warranty on our new field.   

  • Leis, Sashes, Cords, etc.Leis are not allowed during the ceremony.  Cords and medallions issued by the school should be worn during the ceremony.  Sashes are approved for the following groups:  Academic Pathways, MSA, ASB, and Community Service.  Any sashes from clubs or sports teams may not be worn during the event, but parents are welcome to bring them along for pictures after the ceremony. 

  • Professional Pictures will be taken at the time students receive their diploma.   

  • Graduates are expected to have their gowns zipped up for the entirely of the ceremony.  The photographers have been instructed to NOT take pictures of any student who has their gown unzipped. 

  • Graduates may NOT have their cell phones with them during the ceremony.  This is a pretty standard practice among all area high schools. We will be setting up areas in the Quad for families to connect. 

  • There is a Clear-Bag policy.  We will have separate lines for bag-checks and for guests with no bags.   

  • Diaper bags do NOT need to be clear.  But, they will be subject to a bag check. 11Water is allowed in the stadium.  We have water-filling stations for "hydroflasks".  Security may be checking that any liquid is, in fact, water. 

  • School groups will be selling water during the ceremony. 

  • While there will be enough seating to accommodate everyone's needs, please refrain from reserving areas for your guests who are running late.   

  • Large signs, balloons, and noise makers are not allowed in the Stadium.  Mainly, we do not want one family's celebration prevent another family from hearing the name of their graduate. 

  •  PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY CONFETTI.  Confetti is an absolute nightmare to fully clean.  Please tell your other guests. 

  • Parking will be difficult, so plan on doing a bit of walking.  Please do NOT have your graduate drive themselves to the ceremony.  Please drop them off.  This will save spaces in the parking lot and it makes leaving a lot easier.  The city is opening nearly all of Foster Road to Special Event Parking Status.  Please do not park in any red zones or near fire hydrants…you may be ticketed. 

  • Handicapped Parking and Handicapped Drop-off will be near the stadium entrance.  Special seating is available for our guests who need it and one additional guest. 

  • A Handicapped Placard will be required to park in the designated areas.  Otherwise, you may drop off your guests. 

  • The ceremony begins at 7:00 sharp.  Following the ceremony, there will be pictures, more pictures, and even more pictures, so do not plan anything before 9:45.   

  • In every graduation I can remember, the start is really warm and the end is pretty chilly.  The bleachers are very tall and we imagine a little cool at night.  Additionally, stadium chairs are allowed and encouraged. 

  • Students will receive a diploma cover at graduation.  Students will receive their actual diploma on Friday, June 5 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM at the MPR.  Students should enter at the Wrestling Gate.  Students must pick up their own diplomas.  If they are unable to pick up their diploma on Friday, they may retrieve it during office hours beginning Wednesday, June 10.
