Early College Program

The Early College Program (ECP) students at La Mirada High School have the opportunity to earn 45+ transferrable college credits through Cerritos College.  All ECP classes are held at La Mirada High School and taught by Cerritos College professors.  Students take up to two ECP courses per semester along with their regular high school classes.  Students in the ECP are able to participate in extra curricular activities (athletics, band, leadership, etc.) while enrolled in the program.  Some of the benefits include:

  • Tuition and textbooks are provided at no cost to the student
  • Save time and money when students plan to attend a UC or CSU
  • Access to several Cerritos College support services
  • Students meet all A-G requirements

La Mirada High School has 30 spots for students interested in applying for the Early College Program.  Applications are available in January.

The focus of the Early College Program is to prepare students to compete in a global economy.
